Jessica Tonai

Jessica Tonai is a soprano and music teacher from Orange County, California. She holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Chapman University and is currently pursuing a music teaching credential. She has experience with several styles of music and has performed in opera productions, various choral ensembles, vocal jazz groups, a mariachi, and even a ska band. Jessica is passionate about arts in combination with activism, and is on the creative teams for the nonprofit arts collective Musicians of Color Association based in the Bay Area and the Santa Ana Youth Media Project, a youth advocacy project combining Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) and media arts to highlight issues youth face in the city of Santa Ana.
