Tenor

Ricardo is a Tenor in the Pasadena/LA region singing in professional choir ensembles including the Long Beach Camerata Singers and Pacific Chorale! He has performed many of the great works of the choral repertoire including the Verdi Requiem, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Durufle’s Requiem, Faure’s Requiem, Beethoven’s ninth symphony, to name a few and has sung solos in many of Mozart’s smaller masses for his church job. He has also sung in a few professional Opera Choruses, most recently as a Tenor in a production of Verdi’s Rigoletto. He was recently recognized as an emerging artist by Long Beach Camerata and awarded a grant to further his development as a professional musician. He has sung several opera roles including Le Marie in Poulenc’s Les Mamelles de Tirésias, Brack Weaver in Kurt Weil’s Down in The Valley, the Duke of Mantua in Verdi’s Rigoletto and is an active member of the Opera singers book club where he continues to study Opera roles, Currently Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème. Additionally, Ricardo is the music director’s assistant at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena CA; facilitating artistic management, keeping up with music librarian duties and actively participating in the artistic side of the work by singing in the choirs and serving as one of the cantors every weekend. In his free time Ricardo enjoys the studying of foreign languages (currently Japanese and Italian) and he enjoys taking his big German Shepherd, Copper, on nature walks.
