Lauren Carter

Lauren Carter is a vocalist based in Los Angeles. She is currently the soprano section leader at St Cross Episcopal Church of Hermosa Beach, where she regularly performs solo work, most recently performing Vivaldi’s Gloria. Last year she performed ‘Qui tollis peccata mundi’ by Rossini the Good Shepherd of Los Alamitos Christmas Worship concert. From 2019 - 2023, Lauren was a staff soprano with Long Beach Camerata Singers and performed in the debut concert of the Catalyst Ensemble, taking a solo role in ‘Considering Matthew Shepherd.’ This past summer, Lauren was a session singer on the EDM track ‘Sky is the Limit,’ which played all over festivals in Europe this summer. Lauren Carter holds a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from Northwestern University and a Master of Music (Vocal Perf) from University of Southampton, UK. Past credits include Buffy in the world premiere of ‘A Wedding,’ directed by Robert Altman at Lyric Opera of Chicago; Soloist in the opera ‘Paix a Peyresq’ with the New London Singers at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, England; and Sarah, the lead in a psychological thriller play called ‘The Mark of Lia’ at the London Fringe Theatre. Lauren also performs jazz, cabaret, and writes her own indie pop. In 2017 the remix of her single ‘American Dream’ reached #6 on the Swiss and German dance charts. She is also an accomplished voice-over artist, with major clients such as Skittles. Lauren is a former voice faculty member of AMDA Hollywood, and currently runs her own voice and piano coaching practice in Los Angeles, counting major label artists such as EDM star Petit Biscuit and K pop star Tiffany Young as clients, and Jeb Carty who recently went platinum with his track, ‘Tension’ featuring Swae Lee.
