Daniel M. Ramon, tenor was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He is a working performer whose professional group rosters include The Los Angeles Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale and Long Beach Camerata Singers. He has performed many masterworks in the choral repertoire such as Carmina Burana, Stravinsky's Les Noces, Verdi’s Requiem, Mahler’s 2nd Symphony Resurrection, and Ravel’s L’enfant et Sortilege, to name a few. As an opera singer, Mr. Ramon has performed in several principal roles including his most recently role of “Eisenstein” in Die Fledermaus by Strauss and last year the “School Master” in Janáceck’s Cunning Little Vixen, “The Reporter” in Tango (a one act concert opera for tenor and chamber orchestra) by Robert Xavior Rodriguez. This Summer, Professor Ramon is delighted to join the staff at Rio Hondo College teaching voice class. Also, this Fall he will be added as adjunct faculty at CSU San Bernardino, teaching varied classes such as Mariachi and voice. He holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach; where he studied under the tutelage of Dr. Katharin Rundus. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from CSU San Bernardino studying with Dr. Lesley Leighton and Dr. Stacey Fraser. When not performing, Mr. Ramon enjoys his time off doing yoga, eating sushi and walking his dogs Sebastian (Siberian Husky-German Shepherd mix), and Duke (Chihuahua).
